2016 Honda NM4

New tourer from Honda’s factory is 2016 Honda NM4 motorcycle. This attractive bike is a product of designers who had inspiration with anime movies. Curves and aggressive appearance are making this machine very attractive. At first sight you might think it is scooter, but with side bags and atypical transmission system you can figure out what is it all about.

New 2016 Honda NM4 is getting really big fairing with storage area large enough to take enough baggage. Curb weight of the bike is 562 lbs. There are also LED lamps on headlights which improve lightning. Backrest could be folded while low seating position is very attractive especially for new riders. New NM4 bike is using 18-inch tire up front and 17-inch for rear. Front tire is 120/70 ZR 18 and the rear one 200/50 ZR 17. Seat on the bike is set at 25.6 inches and wheelbase is 65 inch long.

Motorcycle is powered from 670 cc SOHC engine. This parallel-twin unit is using liquid cooling and it is mated to six-speed automatic Dual Clutch Transmission. So this is one of the main reasons why it is not a scooter vehicle that usually uses CVT gearbox. Furthermore there is fuel injection system, which makes start in cold weather easier as well as better power delivery. Bore and stroke are at 73 x 80 mm. The 2016 Honda NM4 is equipped with 43 mm fork front suspension while the rear is monoshock. Single 320 mm 2-piston disc is placed on front brake, and on the back wheel there is single 1-piston 240 mm disc. Emissions are also improved and all standards are conformed.

The starting price of the 2016 Honda NM4 is $11,000, which is a bit pricy for tourer of these specs. Hence what could be advantage of the bike is its fuel economy. New NM4 can go 61 mpg combined which is better than most of competitors, including BMW K 1600 GTL and Harley Dyna Street Bob. With tank capacity of 3 gallons this motorcycle could go 200 miles without refueling.
