So it is with 2017 Acura ILX, first compact sedan from Japanese car constructor, which was launched in 2013, and had kick start right from its appearance. Now, it is coming as new, refreshed model, to renew interest in this nameplate. Changes are numerous, starting from styling tweaks, all away to powertrain modifications.

Among restyled parts on the 2017 Acura ILX, grille, LED lamps on headlights with new 5-point spots, and revisited turn signals can be seen at first sight. Under the hood of the 2017 Acura ILX is a 2.4-l 4-cylinder engine. It is mated to a dual-clutch automatic transmission. This combination is good for 201 hp and 180 pound-feet of torque. By this, engineers upgraded their previous edition and added 50 horses and 40 pound-feet of torque. Torque converter and shift paddles are also integrated to 8-speed gearbox. Direct-injected DOHC engine also gets better suspension ad braking, so overall impression is much better than before.

There is only symbolic price raise for 2017 Acura ILX comparing to previous edition. Base model is available for $28,000, while higher trims with Premium Package cost the same as before, $30,000. Finally most packed models with Tech Plus & A-SPEC packages are priced $35,000 and these top the lineup.
